As a leader in the worldwide CNG compressor market
The Seoul City Hall Natural Gas Filling Station is located at the heart of Seoul,
the capital of the Republic of Korea..
With its unique design that perfectly blends with the surrounding buildings
and sceneries, the filling station often serves as a rest area for Seoulites.
Constructed to enhance awareness of natural gas, encourage voluntary
participation, and strengthen the base for natural gas, the natural gas filling
station has become a symbol for the safety of natural gas through which people
can have better understanding of the natural gas policy of the Seoul City
Government.
The system in the station generally consists of the compressor room, operation
room, and Dispenser.
Compressor Room
Gas is basically sourced from the local city gas at a suction pressure of 4bar.
It goes through a filter to remove foreign materials, and then passes through
a rotary-type flow meter where the amount used is checked. The gas is then
supplied to the compressors.
The Kwangshin Compressor undergoes 4 stages of compression cycle to rise
the pressure to 250 bar from 4 bar pressure. In particular, the compressor and
electric motor are connected by coupling to prevent transmission loss.
The air-cooled heat exchanger is designed to ensure high efficiency and secure
an allowance rate of 30%. The discharging part of each compression cycle
is equipped with an oil separator filter to recover as much oil as possible. On
the other hand, dual filters are installed on the discharging part of the last
cycle. The temperature and pressure at each cycle are checked through the
Transmitter; the measurement values are transmitted to the Central Control
Device (PLC) to enable accurate control and to get the complete operational
history.
To save space and minimize blow-down pressure, only one blow-down tank is
used for two compressors.
In addition, a pad for preventing vibration is installed to ensure the durability of
equipment in the compressor room and other surrounding devices.
The Kwangshin Priority Panel is equipped with a filter on the front to minimize
oil carryover. A Priority valve is installed in the system to control the charging
pressure of each vessel. An Emergency shutdown valve is also provided for
safety.
The storage vessels installed in Korea have a capacity of 1,300 liters of water
each; they are designed based on the ASME Code. The Vessel Test Pressure
is 417 Bar; these are products wherein safety is the most critical consideration.
To enhance reliability and safety, a safety valve is installed on each vessel. A
drain valve is provided so that oil can be drained from the vessel.
Installed near the major equipment in the compressor room, a gas leak detector
immediately stops all equipment and devices in case of gas leak during the
operation.
Dispenser
The Kwangshin Dispenser is a product manufactured under the technical
cooperation with Kraus in Canada. Kwangshin offers a variety of dispensers
with dual or single hose depending on the charging subjects such as
automobile, bus, and truck. It can also be applied both to CASCADE and
BUFFER.
The compressor room was designed under strict condition in terms of noise
level. The designed noise level 1 meter away from the wall is 55dBA.
The airflow in the compressor room is critical. To maximize the cooling effect,
the compressor room was designed to ensure upward airflow from the bottom.
Operation room
The operation room controlling the equipment and devices in the compressor
room consists of the operation part, SCADA System, POS System, and
incoming panel.
-Control and Starter Panel
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is organized and operated to control,
manage, and record automatically all systems including compressor operation
and safety.
-Station Emergency Panel
This panel allows the operator to detect emergency such as gas leak upon
receiving a signal from the gas leak detector and emergency shutdown valve.
-SCADA System
This system monitors the condition of compressors from the operation room.
Since the operating condition of compressors is monitored remotely, the
operator is able to find out the situation and to predict the problems in advance
even without checking the compressors in person. Furthermore, connection to
the Internet with the Kwangshin HQ Service Center will enable Kwangshin HQ
to control the operation site directly.
-POS System
This system records sales information at the time of sales, thereby facilitating
management and operation.
The system basically has information as to the name of the company where
each vehicle belongs and the vehicle’s license plate number and service
routes. In addition, the system will record information such as the amount of
gas charged, when to start and end the charging, how long charging takes, unit
price of gas, total sales amount, etc.
-Incoming and Distributing Panel: This panel reduces electric voltage to 440
V from the high voltage transmitted by Korea Electric Power Corporation for
application to the electric motor and supply to the station.
Natural gas is a valuable resource that ensures high productivity as well as
profit to corporate customers.
Aside from saving our environment, the quality of life is greatly improved in a
city where contamination is reduced considerably.
No explosion hazard, almost zero contamination -- these are the very reasons
natural gas as an alternative energy to save the global environment has been
thrust into the spotlight.
자막처리-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Kwangshin CNG compressor generally has three models: GEO-A, B, and
C with suction pressure ranging from 0 to 100 bar and capacity ranging from
200 to 3,500 normal qubic meter per hour(Nm3
array of compressor models appropriate for various vehicles from automobile
to bus and truck as well as any suction pressure and operating condition.
There are over 1,000 Kwangshin-produced compressors successfully operating
worldwide.
In addition, the Kwangshin compressor is designed and manufactured as a
heavy-duty type to enhance durability. It boasts of a variety of safety features to
increase reliability.
It can adopt various cooling methods including water cooling and air cooling.
Motors and engines can be operated depending on specific site conditions.
Options such as Pneumatic or Gas-Controlled Purge System are also available.
Other options such as enclosure and Non-Pressurized crank case are provided
to meet customer needs better.
